Funding Applications

We Fund Outcomes.Apply Now.

Paws & Effect provides rapid-response funding for rescue organizations, fosters, and urgent animal cases across Florida. If an animal's life depends on resources you don't have — this is where you start.

Eligibility

Built for Urgent Outcomes

We fund where speed and access matter most. Not every case qualifies — but if yours does, we move fast.

Emergency Rescue

Transport, intake, emergency boarding, and pull fees for animals at immediate risk of euthanasia or death.

Medical Intervention

Diagnostics, surgery, critical care, and behavioral stabilization for animals in rescue or foster care.

Foster & Rescue Infrastructure

Supplies, operational support, and short-term resources for active rescue networks and foster families.

Note

We do not fund operating budgets, salaries, facility costs, or general organizational expenses. All funding is case-specific and outcome-driven.

Who Can Apply

Who We Work With

We work with the full spectrum of animal care — from registered nonprofits to individual fosters who find themselves in urgent situations.

01

Rescue Organizations

Small-to-mid-size nonprofits, registered rescues, and animal welfare organizations operating in Florida. Priority given to organizations without reserves for urgent cases.

02

Individual Fosters

Active fosters holding animals outside of a shelter who need emergency medical or supply funding. Must have an animal in active foster care.

03

Veterinary & Community Partners

Licensed veterinary clinics, animal control officers, and community partners managing an urgent case where the owner or rescue cannot cover costs.

The Process

From Application to Outcome

We've built the intake process to move as fast as the situations that require it.

1

Submit

Complete the application below. Tell us the animal, the situation, the urgency, and the funding need. Takes 5–10 minutes.

2

Review

Our team evaluates every submission within 48 hours. Life-threatening cases are triaged immediately — within hours when possible.

3

Decision

We communicate clearly: approval, partial approval, or denial with context. No black boxes, no unexplained silence.

4

Funds Released

Approved cases receive funding directly to the rescue organization, vet clinic, or provider. Not to individuals.

A Few Things to Know

We review every application with care. To protect our capacity to respond to the most urgent cases, we are selective. We fund specific, urgent, outcome-driven situations — not ongoing operational costs or speculative needs.

Applications are reviewed within 48 hours. Urgent cases marked as life-threatening are triaged first. If approved, funds are disbursed directly to the provider — not to the applicant.

We are not a shelter, a vet clinic, or an emergency hotline. If an animal is in immediate physical danger, contact your local animal control or emergency vet first. Then apply here.

FAQ

Common Questions

Rescue organizations, individual fosters, and veterinary or community partners working with animals in Florida. We consider all applications that involve a specific, urgent, outcome-driven need. We do not fund general operating costs or ongoing salaries.

We review all applications within 48 hours. Cases marked as life-threatening are triaged first and may receive a response within hours. Our goal is to move at the speed the situation requires.

Approved funds are sent directly to the veterinary clinic, rescue organization, transport provider, or other service vendor — not to individual applicants. This ensures resources reach the point of care.

No. Individual fosters and community partners can apply. However, for organizational applicants, providing your EIN or registration number helps expedite review.

There is no set minimum or maximum. We evaluate based on the urgency of the case, the specificity of the need, and the likely outcome. Be as detailed as possible about what the funding will accomplish.

We communicate the reason clearly and, where possible, provide alternative resources or referrals. A denial is not permanent — circumstances change, and cases can be resubmitted.

No. Applications must describe a specific, present, active animal situation. We do not pre-approve general operational budgets or anticipated future expenses.
